In a shocking revelation, a leaked audio recording featuring top All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Senator Mudashiru Hissein, has brought to light a clandestine plan orchestrated by the presidency to take over local government secretariats with the assistance of security agencies on Wednesday.
According to the leaked audio message addressed to party members, Senator Mudashiru disclosed that APC supporters are instructed to gather at police stations in each local government, where they will be escorted by security personnel to seize control of the councils.
“Mobilization is imperative tomorrow. This is the directive from our superiors. All key figures will convene at the designated police stations. We must reclaim power swiftly from the current occupants. The Presidency fully supports our mission,” emphasized Senator Mudashiru in the leaked audio.
On the other hand, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) State Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi, echoed Governor Ademola Adeleke’s instructions for PDP members to steer clear of the council secretariats. He also raised concerns regarding purported plans to detain PDP affiliates ahead of the imminent local government elections.
“We reiterate the Governor’s directive for our members to maintain distance from the secretariats and concentrate on our election campaigns. We caution against any attempts to unlawfully arrest PDP members prior to Saturday’s polls. We are the victims here, not the aggressors. We urge the Inspector General of Police to curb illegal activities in Osun state,” stated the PDP chairman.
The PDP chairman affirmed the party’s commitment to peace, adherence to the law, and continuing with their campaign efforts while awaiting the forthcoming elections on Saturday.
